This policy explains what data PocoLink collects, why, and what happens to it — in plain language, not just legal boilerplate.
Summary (The Short Version)

- ✓We do collect anonymized click data (region, device type, browser) to show to link creators as analytics.

- ✓You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
What We Collect — And Why
1. Account information (if you register)
If you create a PocoLink account, we store your email address and a hashed password. We use your email to send account-related communications (password reset, security notices). We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
2. Link data
When you create a short link, we store the destination URL, the short alias, your user ID (if logged in), and the creation timestamp. This is necessary to perform the redirect when someone clicks your link.
3. Click analytics data
When someone clicks a PocoLink, we log the following:

All click analytics are aggregated and displayed only to the owner of the short link.
What We Explicitly Do Not Collect
- ✗Full IP addresses of link clickers
- ✗Cross-site behavioral tracking on clickers
- ✗Browsing history outside of PocoLink
- ✗Personal identity information from people who click links (unless they create an account)
- ✗Financial or payment information (there's nothing to pay for)
Google AdSense — What It Does on This Site
We display Google AdSense ads on informational pages (About, How-To, Blog, Privacy, Terms, Docs). AdSense is Google's advertising service, and it works by setting cookies in your browser to serve ads based on your browsing history across the web.
Specifically, Google may use the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. This is standard AdSense behavior and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Important: AdSense does not appear in the app.
The PocoLink dashboard, link creation interface, and redirect pages contain no AdSense ads. Ads only appear on the static informational pages listed above. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at adssettings.google.com.

You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking session cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.
Data Retention
Your account data (email, links, analytics) is retained for as long as your account exists. We do not automatically delete link analytics over time.
If you delete your account, all associated links and analytics are permanently deleted within 30 days. There is no recovery after deletion. To request account deletion, email us at privacy@pocolink.com from your registered address.
Your Rights
Access: You can view all links and analytics data in your dashboard at any time.
Correction: You can update your email address through account settings.
Deletion: Email privacy@pocolink.com to request complete deletion of your account and data.
GDPR / CCPA: If you are located in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. We honor these rights — contact us to exercise them.
Objection: You may object to the processing of your personal data for analytics purposes by deleting your account.
